Dental Implant
Definition:
Dental implant is a surgical intervention by which a new tooth, made from titanium, is inserted in the dental arch.
The dental implant is done through a not so complex surgical intervention, after the place of extraction has healed or right after the extraction.
After a short period of time that is needed for the bone integration, another metallic piece called prosthetic abutment is attached on the dental implant, on top of which a ceramic crown can be placed, the dental bridge or prosthesis will replace the missing tooth or teeth.
